STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Ajay Sadhotra, senior leader National Conference and former Minister asked the Governor’s Administration to sanction posts of constables in Border Battalions on basis of blocks instead of districts, so that youth of various border blocks may not feel discriminated. While addressing youth of Marh and Mandal Border Blocks, Sadhotra demanded that in order to infuse confidence among border youth, Governor’s Administration should conduct on-spot recruitment instead of regular routine recruitment process. Border youth are not satisfied with recruitments of SPOs as there is a feeling of discrimination among them at block level, he added. Sadhotra emphasized upon the need to make border youth realise that they will get their share of constable posts block-wise, that too during on-spot recruitment to end any sense of discrimination among them. He appealed to the Governor to intervene into the matter and issue necessary instructions for ensuring that posts are equally divided among border blocks.
