JAMMU: Sachdeva Netralaya, an eye clinic which is working extensively on facing the challenges of diabetes and eye diseases, will organise a free diabetes eye check up camp for high-risk diabetes patients on August 11, 2018 at Hari Mandir, Rehari Colony Jammu.
Dr Sunil Mehara, eminent retina specialist from Amritsar will be present in the camp.
Addressing media at Press Club, Dr Sanjay Sachdeva said, “Diabetes can lead to blindness. We have to do a lot of follow-ups and a lot of medication some medicines are pretty expensive. We need to create awareness so as to catch the effect of diabetes on eyes in time that is where we thought if we could contribute something under are initiative at Sachdeva Netralaya.”
Dr Sanjay, leading eye specialist of Jammu and Chief Consultant, said, “We have been doing these camps since long for screening, education and detection. What we are trying to do is to check the end organ diabetes damage to eyes that happens to all these patients.”
