STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR: Second batch of 20 patients which were operated at KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur were discharged from the hospital after follow up. Pertinent to mention here KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur in collaboration with Rotary Club Udhampur organised a free eye screening camp on 13th July, 2019 at PHC Latti. In this screening camp 305 patients suffering from different eye ailments were examined by the medical team of the hospital out of which 66 patients were identified for cataract surgeries which were brought in the hospital for further surgical procedures. First batch of 16 patients were operated by Dr Sumeru Raina to restore their vision on 17 June 2019. All the operated 32 patients are provided free pre-operative investigations, post-operative medicines including glasses. Rtn D. N. Sharma Chairman of Rotary Eye Hospital Udhampur, along with the operated patients and their attendants were also present. Awareness was also given to the patients about the eye care after surgery, so that better vision is maintained in future. The Chairman of Rotary Eye Hospital Udhampur, Rtn D. N. Sharma assured the public to organize such more camps in rural areas of Udhampur district till the whole of the Distt. is not become avoidable blindness free.
