JAMMU: RMK Broadcasting Service and Studio Live RMK TV presented musical bonanza cum concert ‘Sounth-Tu-Saaz’ organised by Samooh Theatre here on Tuesday at Abhinav Theatre.
The programme was sponsored by Tourism Department and J&K Bank on the eve of Navreh Milan (Navratra Festival) onset of Sounth and start of New Year of Kashmiri Pandits.
MLC Vijay Bakaya, K.K Khosa, Swami Kumar Ji and Dr Agni Shekher, Prof B.L Zutshi, Anil Bhat (PTI Bureau Chief), M.K Yogi and Dr Rajinder Tickoo President KECSS Delhi were also present.
The welcome address was presented by Dr Sudhir Mahajan of Samooh Theatre.
The main attraction of the programme was music feature on Sharika Mahatmai which was presented first time in Abhinav Theatre after migration of Kashmiri Pandits in the back drop of set created on stage of Badam Wari over looking Hariparbat and Chekerishwar the abode of Mata Sharika Devi.
A fusion dance item on Indrakshi Strotrum was presented depicting the killing of demon Jalodbhav by Mata Sharika Bhagwati after Kayshap Rishi prayed to Bhagwati to save the lives of people living around Satisar from the wrath of Jalodbhav.
Mata Sharika killed Jalodbhav and appeared in nine different forms and Mudras and formed Chakreshwar Yantra at Hariparbat.
The narration was from Sharika Lehri written by Dr Triloki Nath Ganjoo.
Other attraction of the event was Live Leela singing by Shanti Lal Sidh and Party, and also by Kaka ji Tchachbali.
Other singers who mesmerized with their voice include Sonali Dogra, Ankait Hashia and Shivani Koul.
A Dogri dance item Dogre Dogre us Dogre was liked by one and all which spoke in praise of brave Dogras who with open heart accommodated everyone warmly.
A dance item on Chakri was also presented first time on stage which was appreciated by audience. The last dance item on unity in diversity was presented by group dancers which displayed the composite culture, rituals, costumes and cultural heritage with the message of connecting Kashmir with the rest of India.
The conceptualisation of event and music was composed by renowned Music Director Kuldeep Saproo who is also a Director of RMK Broadcasting.
The fold back singers were Sonali Dogra, Zulekha Farid, Kuldeep Kalla, Suresh Chouhan, Sumit Bhardwaj, Pallavi Koul and Nirmala Koul, Lyrics were contributed by Yash Pal Yash, Master Zinda Koul, Shahid Shabir and Razool Mir.
Choreography of all dances was done by choreographer Akash Dogra. Set was designed by Virji Sumbli. Musicians were Darbari Lal on Tabla, Rakesh Anand on Flute, Chandan Jasotra on Synth and Rohit Kumar on Octopad. Sound equipments were provided by Happy Kumar, Light Supervision by Raj Kumar Bhat, Light Operation by Pankaj Sharma and sound operation by Lokesh. The voiceover, costumes/ production design was provided by Vijay Dhar. The stage management was done by Kiran Saproo, Arvind Tickoo, Jatinder Jotshi, Ankush Saproo, Manik Koul and Sohail.
The programme was compered by renowned broadcaster Ramesh Marhatta and Manju Vali. All sound tracks recording are by Radio Maej Kasheer recording studio Janipur. Vote of thanks was presented by Kuldeep Saproo.
