STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: The NSUI Chief Neeraj Kundan said that the student fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir would be affected most in coming times, with scrapping of Articles 370 and 35A. Briefing media persons here on Tuesday, Kundan resented over the move of BJP Government for revoking Articles 370 and 35A in an undemocratically way. He said that the implications of removing aforesaid Articles would affect the future of J&K youth disastrously. Youth of the State will have to face competition at all India level with those, who have better environment of education and opportunities available in other parts of country, he asserted. “Earlier in the then state of Jammu and Kashmir, all Government jobs were available for youth of J&K only,” he added. Kundan further said that BJP is befooling people of Jammu and Kashmir on the Bill. “If BJP is claiming that removal of Article 370 will bring development and employment avenues in J&K, then why the youth of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh are suffering from the menace of employment and hollow policies of BJP-led Government at the Centre,” he questioned. Kundan asserted that BJP has also befooled the people of country in general and J&K in particular with implementation of demonetization. BJP told people that the demonetization would reduce terrorism in J&K, but nothing such was seen on ground level, as terror-related activities are still going on, he said. “Nobody will go to Kashmir Valley for establishing companies and factories due to disturbances. In coming time, only Jammu youth will be the most affected and will have no other option than to come on roads to mark their resentment,” he added. Kundan asked the BJP leadership at the centre to revoke its decision of scrapping Article 370 and 35A for welfare of J&K youth. Uday Chib, President JKPYC, while interacting with media persons, stressed for restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the BJP has downgraded Jammu and Kashmir by making it an Union Territory, which is unacceptable to the people of Jammu region. Chib demanded that Jammu youth should be given preferences in the all Government jobs in newly created Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, so that they may not face any problem.
