JAMMU: A deputation of Jammu and Kashmir ReT Teachers Forum led by its State President, Vinod Sharma and Chairman Abdul Aziz Gazi called on Education Minister, Altaf Bukhari and apprised him of the issues being faced by ReT cadre.
The deputation raised various demands including transfer policy for regularised ReTs, streamlining of SSA salary, release of arrears, inclusion of five years ReT period for seniority benefits, enhancement of honorarium, commencement of processes of B.Ed for graduates and D.Ed for under graduates and Provision of SRO-43 in favour of ReTs during five years ReT period.
The Education Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to redress all their issues one by one. He informed that suitable transfer policy will be framed shortly. The deputation also met Finance Minister, Dr H.A Drabu and requested him to streamline the SSA salary and timely release of the same and provision of arrears of SSA teachers. The Finance Minister assured his full support to get the SSA salary issue resolved.
The deputation comprised of Saleem Sagar, Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Reyaz-ul Rehman, Rajesh Jamwal, Lekh Raj Parihar, Pir Siraj, Ravinder Singh, Tufail Masroor, Subash Chander, Navjot Singh, Jasbir Singh, Dinesh Thapa, Munish and Arvind Sharma.
