State times news JAMMU: After dissolving the exiting body half way its original tenure of four years, the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed-led Coalition Government on Wednesday reconstituted the autonomous sports body of Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) with 29 members, including four top serving officers. However, for the first time, the list of members could not be released by the Department of Information. On being inquired it was found that the directions have been issued not to disclose the names of those nominated. The highest decision making body of the state sports, the Council included retired bureaucrat, former Secretary and PDP leader, Mehboob Iqbal. A good number of seven members have been repeated in the new Council. They are Bilquees Mir, Siddharth Sharma, Ranjeet Kalra, Prof B.A Shah, Rashid Ahmed Choudhary, Parvaiz Rasool and Zamir Thakur. Likewise previous Council, three have been nominated to the otherwise unimportant category of permanent invitees. They are Iftekaar Lone, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta and Fareeda Akhar. The Sports Council will be headed by Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as president and Sports Minister, Imran Raza Ansari as vice-president. Those government officers are Administrative Secretaries of Planning and Development Department, Finance Department and Youth Services and Sports as also Director General Youth Services and Sports. MEMBERS: Arun Malhotra, Rashid Ahmed Choudhary, Bilquees Mir, Krupali Singh, Siddharth Sharma, Rouf Tramboo, Parvaiz Rasool, Zamir Thakur, Mehboob Iqbal, Prof BA Shah, Ranjeet Kalra, Nazir Ahmed, Mohammad Amin Khan, Arjun Choudhary, Fida Hussain, Gyal Punchok Wangyal, Rifat Abdullah, Rahil Gupta, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Wahid Parra, Javed Shah, Bari Andrabi and Rajinder Singh.
