STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: For enlightening party activists and locals regarding benefits of abrogation of Article 370 besides expressing gratitude towards BJP senior leadership for fulfilling long pending demand of Jammu people by repealing Articles 370 & 35A, the State BJP on Tuesday organised a programme at party headquarters. Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta; BJP State General Secretaries Dr Narinder Singh and Yudhvir Sethi; State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, former Minister Priya Sethi, former MLA Rajesh Gupta, BJP leader, Rajni Rohmetra along with a number of activists were present on the occasion. While addressing participants, Kavinder Gupta congratulated party workers and leaders for abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A. “The country in general and J&K in particular had waited for over 70 years for this moment. Entire population of J&K is thankful to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah for fulfilling their long pending demand, for which numerous have sacrificed their lives. It is really a historic decision for the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh,” Gupta said. Appreciating the step taken by Narendra Modi Government, Yudhvir Sethi hoped that the decision would prove to be a boon for people of Jammu and Kashmir regions. Understanding pain of people of Jammu, PM Narendra Modi fulfilled his promise and fulfilled aspirations of Jammu people by taking a wise decision to repeal Article 370, as it was the need of hour, he added. BJP leader, Rajni Rohmetra said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are happy with the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A. “The step taken by Prime Minister Modi will be beneficial for people of J&K, as in coming time, multinational companies will establish their units in Jammu & Kashmir, thereby providing employment avenues to youth of Jammu and Kashmir,” she asserted, urging people of J&K to extend full support to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for overall development of Jammu and Kashmir.
