Four days first aid training programme organised by Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Jammu Region concluded here on Saturday.
The training programme was organised under the aegis of St John Ambulance (India), Regional Centre, Jammu in which more than 38 commercial vehicle drivers and newly enrolled Red Cross volunteers took part.
The training was imparted by the senior consultants namely Dr Ranbushan Singh, Consultant Anesthetist and Disaster Management Specialist, Red Cross Society, Dr Rajinder Thappa, CMO GMC&H, Dr. M.L Sharma (Retd) DMO, Dr. Rashmi Sharma and Dr. Shamim Akhtar. The exam was conducted by Dr. Kavita Nijohn, Medical Officers, Red Cross Dispensary, Jammu assisted by Kanchan Devi Sup Pharmacist. Dinesh Gupta, Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region briefed the participants about ‘What Red Cross Society is & What it Does’ and who they can also be helpful to other poor needy.
