STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: All J&K Mahasha Sadar Sabha on Saturday elected Dr Manohar Lal Rao as President while Som Raj Majhotra was elected as Chairman of the Sabha for a tenure of five years. The new body was constituted during a meeting held here on Saturday under the chairmanship of Dr Manohar Lal Rao. Others office bearers elected on the occasion included Kali Ram, Numberdar Ram Singh, Rattan Lal Draie, Sham Lal, Pardeep Kumar, Shiv Lal Manayal, Nanak Chand, Sarpanch Faquir Chand, Tara Chand and Subash Chander (Vice-Presidents); Koushal Kumar Karotra, Arun Rajwal, Suraj Narayan, Sunil Majotra and Shammy Narayal (General Secretaries), Rahul Kumar (Accountant), Surinder Kumar Kalotra, Romesh Chander Kalotra, Sansar Chand, Pandit Sham Lal, Rash Pal Chand, Manohar Lal Kalotra, Manohar Lal, Jagdish Raj, Garu Ram, Surjit Singh, Deepak Kumar, Tilak Raj, Romesh Chand Alias (Bittu) and Dr Ashok Kumar (Secretaries). During the meeting, Neelam Nagotra, Corporator JMC was nominated as Sabha’s State Mahila Wing President while Vinod Kumar was nominated as District President for Samba. At the very outset, the welcome address was presented by Kali Dass (Vice President) while formal vote of thanks was presented by Arun Rajwal (General Secretary). Others present on the occasion included N D Rajwal, Som Raj Manyal, B D Naryal, Tarseem Raj, Khilari Lal, Shami Narya, Arun Rajwa, Suraj Prakash, Anil Bhardwaj, Rakesh Rajwal, Vaishno Dutt, Sanjay Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Yash Pal Jogi, Mohan Lal, Vishal Kumar, Rinku and Mohinder.
