STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: MLC Vikram Randhawa on Tuesday started construction of a retaining wall, lane and drain at Firdosabad near Bathindi in Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment. While addressing the people after inaugurating the construction work, Randhawa said that it was the long pending demand of the people of the area who had approached the Congress Legislator several times but were ignored. He slammed Congress for using people for vote bank and had ignored the area in terms of development. Randhawa said the issue came to his notice just a month ago and an amount of Rs 2.40 lakh was immediately released for the construction of the same. He said that the people were facing a lot of hardships during rainy season in the absence of the retaining wall as well as lane and drain. He further said that BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed for all round development of all the hamlets irrespective of caste, colour and creed. Randhawa came down heavily on those terming BJP as communal and said that BJP’s core agenda is India and not Hindu or Muslim. He said some parties are hell bent to exploit BJP terming it as communal but now the people across the nation have understood their plans and designs and are openly supporting BJP from the core of their hearts. Those present on the occasion include G.D Malik, Latief, Bashir Khatana, Bagh Ali, Abdul Majeed, Mohammad Din, Gulam Hussain, Mohammad Hanief, Mohd Muneer, Mohammad Rafiq, Raman Sharma, Amit Kumar and Vivek Patyal.
