JAMMU: Provincial President National Conference Jammu, Devender Singh Rana exchanged Eid greeting with the people at Eidgahs in Sidhra and Nagrota in his Assembly Constituency and hoped this auspicious occasion will usher in peace and harmony and further strength the high values of the composite culture of Jammu and Kashmir.
Rana met the people and extended greetings to them on the joyous festival, hoping that this will be celebrated with fervor and gaiety. He prayed for peace and tranquility in the State.
“Pray such festivals to be an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to strengthen the bonds of inclusiveness, share our joys with others and serve the humanity”, the Provincial President said.
Several National Conference functionaries of the constituency were present on the occasion, who also greeted the people, wishing this auspicious occasion to be harbinger of peace, tranquility and amity between various segments of the society.
Former Minister and senior Congress leader, Raman Bhalla joined Eid celebrations with Muslim brethren with traditional religious fervour and gaiety.
On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Bhalla visited Malik Market, Bathindi, Karayani Talab and Digiana Eidgahs and exchanged Eid greetings with Muslim brethren.

Interacting with the Muslim brethren, Bhalla said that this joyous occasion would be a harbinger of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity, which are the hallmark of the State’s glorious pluralistic behaviour.
He prayed for peace, prosperity and wellbeing of people of Jammu and Kashmir and the country. He appealed to the people to contribute in restoring peace and normalcy in the State.
“Let us all pledge today to work unitedly for the peace, prosperity and well being of the State and its people”, said Bhalla. He also hoped that this holy occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity.
MLA Rajesh Gupta offered Eid greetings to a large congregation of Muslim brothers and prayed for their success and well being.
Rajesh, while speaking on the occasion, prayed for peace and prosperity of the State.

JKNPP celebrated Eid at Party Headquarters here under the chairmanship of Prof Bhim Singh, Chief Patron.
Prayers were held for universal peace and prosperity for all the Muslims and others in the world, passing through atmosphere of tension and uncertainty, due to pilling up of nuclear arsenal around.
