STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Thursday commissioned a new borewell in Bela Colony area of Rajouri augmenting water supply of town by 150000 gallons of drinking water per day. The work for installation of this borewell was started few weeks ago on the directions of DDC Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad while a meeting to review the work was held by DDC Rajouri last week wherein officers of PHE Mechanical wing were directed to complete the work within 5 days. PHE officers informed DDC Rajouri that with the start of this borewell, 150000 gallons of water will be added to existing water supply network of Rajouri town thereby augmenting the supply and the borewell will function for 15 hours a day. The projects was completed at cost of 42 lakhs and with the commissioning of this scheme the public of town will get perceptible respite from shortage of drinking water.
