RAJOURI: District Administration, Rajouri continuing its outreach programme organised a series of public meetings aimed at grievance redressal, review of public demands related to socio-economic development, essential services and development infrastructure.
Asstt Commissioner Revenue, A Q Mir, CEO Lal Hussain, ExEn PWD M A Raina, ExEn PHE Nissar Khan, ExEn EM&RE Munshi Khan, DSWO Naseeb Ahmad, DIO Mohammad Shafait, AD FCS&CA Javed Choudhary, District Officers of various departments, field functionaries and large number of citizens were present in the public meetings chaired by the District Development Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary at Paddar, Thandapani, Saroola and Rajdhani.
At Paddar and Thandapani a number of demands regarding construction of link roads, creation of power supply stations, construction of community hall, water resource development and hand pumps, establishment of sub-centre, extension of LT lines and other issues were discussed wherein concerned officers were directed by the authorities to provide requisite infrastructure within stipulated time.
At Rajdhani (Panjgrain) a large number of issues pertaining to villages Saroola, Rajdhani, Naili and Panjgrain were discussed which included construction of building for PS Tarkundi, establishment of skill development centre, creation of power infrastructure, water supply schemes, land compensation, upgradation of roads, construction of four link roads and a missing link apart from various demands related to infrastructure in rural development sector. The public also projected demand for establishment of Degree College. Speakers also demanded tourism infrastructure at Ziarat Rakhikhet.
A number of developmental works in the area were also inspected and detailed review of current year plan in central and state sector of various departments was also held. Developmental plan for border dwellers viz-a-viz infrastructure and security put in place was also reviewed.
