JAMMU: Rajesh Jain, President, Association of Industries, Gangyal, on Tuesday assumed charge of Chairman Federation of Industries Jammu (FoIJ) as per FoIJ norms.
Jatinder Aul, Co-chairman FoIJ and President, Small Scale Industries Association, Digiana, Jammu; Romesh Badyal, Co-chairman FOIJ and President, Birpur Industries Association, Digiana, Jammu; Rajinder Gupta, President, Laghu Udyog Bharti; Ajay Langer, General Secretary of Bari Brahmama Industries Association and S.B Abrol, General Secretary of Association of Industries, Gangyal specially graced the occasion.
Ajay Langer, General Secretary, BBIA also took over the charge of Secretary General of FoIJ.
Rajesh, while taking over as Chairman FoIJ, appreciated the services of outgoing Chairman Lalit Mahajan for his dedicated involvement and commitment to represent the cause of industrial sector of Jammu during his tenure.
Jain reiterated that Association of Industries, Gangyal and Bari Brahmana Industries Association provide core strength and main support base upon which FOIJ has been created ably supported by two of its founding members viz SSIA, BIA which has since been provided adequate additional strength by the joining of Laghu Udyog Bharti, a national level body, in its ranks.
Jain assured that he shall strive hard to seek the involvement of various organisations created by industrial development growth towards rapid completion of ongoing projects to be able to be active participant in the ‘Make In India’ programme launched by the Prime Minister.
Jain appealed to the State Government to ensure 24 hours dedicated power supply to the industrial sector towards creation of additional employment opportunity.
He emphasised that in GST regime all incentive presently been availed should be extended otherwise industry in the State will be forced to close down.
He appealed to Centre as well as State Government to take immediate effective measures to extend all the incentives i.e, excise duty refund / self credit VAT remission – CST exemption on sales outside the State – cashless VAT refund through SICOP and also toll tax exemption on raw material and finished goods.
