JAMMU: Jammu East MLA Rajesh Gupta on Thursday inaugurated development works with an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh.
Rajesh inaugurated lanes and drains works at opposite Church lane Dalpatian Mohalla, lane work near Meat Market Talab Khatikan and development work at KD Sethi Lane and Lakhdatta Gali here.
He was accompanied by JMC officials Executive Engineer Arun Gupta, AEE Ashok Sharma and JE R.K Koul, Zahoor-u-ddin, Mohd. Showkat Bhatti, Kazmi, Jehangir and Nikku.
Rajesh Gupta, while speaking on the occasion, felicitated the members of the Muslim community for the holy month of Ramzan and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the State.
Rajesh Gupta recalled that the members of the Muslim community always showered their love and affection for him ever since he was elected as a Corporator from Dalpatian area and said that they supported him even when he became an MLA from Jammu East Constituency. Rajesh Gupta said that the development of the Jammu East is a mission for him and he would not rest till the goal is achieved completely.
Rajesh also laid emphasis on the various developmental schemes launched by the Modi government and appealed to the people to associate themselves with one or the other scheme for the overall upliftment of the society. He also took stock of the arrangements made for the forthcoming Eid Festival.
Chaman Lal, Gopal Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Kuldeep Kandhari, Soudagar Mal, Tarsem, Krishen Lal, Jia Lal, Ashok, Raju, Dinesh Chouhan, P.C Gupta, Subhash Sanghra, Rajinder Gupta and Advocate Vageesh Bharti were also present.
