Sports Reporter JAMMU: Raghav Dogra won the coveted men’s singles title in the All J&K State Ranking Badminton Championship beating his senior and former State Champion, Vipul Saini of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the final at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here on Tuesday. The event was organised by J&K Badminton Association as part of the exercise to raise State team for the upcoming national level competitions. Later, Raghav, pairing with Manish, clinched the doubles title outplaying the duo of Harsh and Akshay. In senior men’s mixed doubles, Harsh and Vaishnavi defeated Akshay and Krishika in the final. The women’s singles final was won by Krishika Mahajan, who beat Vaishnavi Sharma. In doubles title clash, Unnati and Krishika trounced Niteshi and Rupal. Chairman of J&K Badminton Association, Dr O D Sharma, gave away the prizes. Prominent among others present were Balbir Jamwal (General Secretary J&K Badminton Association), Col. D.V. Sharma (Vice President), Rahul Sharma (Treasurer), Satish Gupta (Manager Indoor Sports Complex), R.K. Sodi, Vivek Mehta, Sukhdev Singh, Baktawar Singh, Pawanjeet Singh and Vikas Sharma. The matches were conducted under the supervision of SAI Badminton coaches, Satpal Sharma and Vikram Saini. Other Results: Under-19 Boys Singles: Bhavya Sharma beat Puranjay Sharma. Doubles: Sarabpreet and Puranjay beat Ritik and Abhay. UNDER-19 Girls Singles: Unnati Jaral beat Krishika Mahajan. Doubles: Krishika and Shambhavi beat Pranjal and Parisa. Mixed Doubles: Puranjay and Shrijus beat Sarabpreet and Pranjal.
