STATE TIMES NEWS RAMBAN: Ashok Kumar Former MLA, Ramban and Senior Congress leader has urged upon the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir that establishment of quarantine centres should be out of the populated towns of the Himalayas in Jammu and Kashmir as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of health and family welfare, Government of India. In a statement issued here, he said there is a establishment of one quarantine centre at the heart of Ramban town which is surrounded by dense population is totally against the guidelines issued by the Government of India. Moreover, there is a high possibility of transmission of covid-19 in the peripheral areas whichc an turn dangerous for the people of Ramban town as the number of cases in Ramban district is already increasing and almost all positive cases are from the quarantine centres only. Ashok said if the district administration lacks the infrastructure for establishing quarantine centres away from town people can be quarantine at home under the gaze by concerned authorities only after following strict COVID-19 protocols.
