JAMMU: As a part of 30th Police Public Mela, a healthy baby competition of the wards of police personnel was held at SDRF 2nd Bn Gulshan Ground, Jammu. Thirty six babies accompanied their parents participated in two categories (upto three years) and (3 to 6 years) respectively.
The event was organized by Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA) and was assisted by Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu and other officers of SDRF. Dr. Kirti Bhushan Sharma, Medical Superintendent, Police Hospital, Dr. Abdul Shabir, Dr. Rajesh Koul and a team of paramedic staff conducted examination of health parameters of the contesting babies.
In the junior group (upto three years) Ahil Pathan, Baby and Tanaya Birplal bagged first, second and third prize respectively.
In the senior group (3 to 6 years) Hibajan, Samardeep Singh and Adarsh Bhagat were adjudged first, second and third respectively. Cash prizes were distributed by Chairperson PWWA, Bharti Vaid. Other PWWA members were present on the occasion.
