NAGROTA: J and K State AIDS Control Society (JKSACS) in collaboration with 1st J and K Armed Squadron NCC Jammu organised a sensitisation programme on HIV/AIDS awareness for NCC cadets here on Saturday. More than 600 cadets participated in the awareness programme.
The programme started with AIDS awareness lecture by Deputy Director (IEC), Deepika B Thakur, who explained in detail about HIV/AIDS and the facilities being provided by JKSACS for the welfare of HIV/AIDS affected.
After the extensive lecture, an interactive session was held wherein Risheesh Khajuria, Assistant Director (Publicity) cleared the doubts of NCC cadets.
The cadets were informed to carry forward the message of JKSACS to disseminate the information in their respective areas especially at grass root level.
The programme was appreciated by Officer Commanding, Col Raj Mohan Singh under whose command the whole camp activity was carried out.
