JAMMU: Minister of State for Information and Education Priya Sethi on Tuesday visited Board of School Education (BOSE) office at Rajpura for on-the-spot review of various wings of the Board.
The minister took round of various sections of BOSE including secrecy room and revaluation room. She also got first hand information about the functioning of various sections of BOSE.
She directed BOSE authorities to ensure timely commencement of academic session besides conducting examinations in time bound manner. She also asked them to issue free books to the needy and deserving candidate besides keeping check on black-marketing of books and other literary material.
Priya exhorted upon the concerned to put in serious efforts to further streamline functioning of the institute. She further stressed the need for education reforms highlighting improving the skill level, competence of teachers to enable them offer quality teaching and learning in the schools.
