Flood havoc in Jammu and Kashmir has also got polarised due to over-enthusiasm of ‘secularists’. Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal has expressed grief over the Laam accident in Nowshehra in which 50 people lost their lives, most of them reportedly belonging to the Sikh community. He has also assured help. Pradesh Congress President Saif-ud-Din Soz has asked Central Disaster Management Authority to take serious notice of floods in J and K, particularly in Kashmir, Rajouri and Poonch, not-withstanding the fact that the entire State is grappling with rains and landslides.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the so-called secularists to even view the natural calamities and unforeseen disasters with myopic frame?
