What popular governments have not been able to achieve in full tenures in office or whatever duration they rules Jammu and Kashmir, the Governor’s administration is making that possible in split seconds without any fanfare. In a subtle but significant move, all the attachments in the education department have been cancelled and incumbents repatriated back to their original places of postings. This has virtually ended the vicious circle wherein ‘VIP teachers’ (spouses and relatives of those who matter) remained attached to schools of their choice to enjoy ‘free loaves’ at the cost of poor taxpayers’ hard earnest money.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the so-called popular governments to defeat the very idea of governance by indulging in favourtism and nepotism, leaving overall public interest in backburner?
