Weeks after welcoming Islamabad’s stance over Kashmir, hardcore hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani has now taken a strong exception to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief’s latest unconditional offer of talk with India. He advises Sharief to be consistent in stand on Kashmir thereby inferring that there should be no engagement between the two countries or peace in the region.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for self-styled Messiahs in Kashmir to keep the pot boiling as any thaw between India and Pakistan will mean halt in the flow of funds to some unscrupulous elements in the separatist cadre from across the border?
