At a time when the nation is grappling with ‘intolerance’ debate, a saner voice has come from Kashmir with Mehbooba Mufti emphatically saying that Muslims in India were better placed than those in Pakistan or Syria, where “even if Muslim is killed one cannot open his mouth.” This is a befitting reply to so-called mainstream outfits and Pak sponsored secessionists in the Valley who keep on crying hoarse over discrimination and deprivation of Muslims.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for ‘chest-beaters’ in the Valley to enjoy liberty to the extent of challenging unity and integrity of the country from roof-tops and then to complain of their voices being muzzled?
