At a time when Jammu roads remain choked with massive traffic jams for two to three hours at a stretch, the sermon by the top cop about citizens to be made aware about their role in traffic management is just like sprinkling salt on the wounds. Ironically the people as also the top man in the police knows where it ails the system that manifest in madness on roads in the wake of nexus, encroachments and parking hazards.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the road managers to watch as a mute spectator and keep on issuing sermons instead of showing a slight will to combat the menace by reining in the encroachers, wrong doers, both in the force and passenger transport besides showing a sense of grit in regulating the traffic?
