Even as Kashmiri separatists have announced shut-down in Kashmir on 27th October in protest against the State’s accession with domain of India in 1947, the BJP is yet to frame up its response. Prior to its entry into the corridors of power, the saffron outfit used to be in the fore-front to highlight mayhem unleashed by Pakistan and raiders ahead of accession but now they are maintaining a discreet silence.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the BJP partnered government not to put the events leading to Jammu and Kashmir’s accession with India in right perspective and thus call the bluff of separatists and the so-called mainstream parties, which have all along hoodwinked public opinion by distorting historical facts?
