Jammu roads continue to be in a dilapidated state with ditches and pot-holes making commuters and pedestrians vulnerable in the wake of maddening traffic rush. The relief isn’t in sight despite monsoon (the only excuse to the BJP ministers) is over. A general perception is gaining roots in the public mind that the city roads will get face-lift by next month end in anticipation of Durbar Move. It has been irony of Jammu that the utility services are put in place just for the Durbaris and not the citizens of this historic city.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the BJP, which once upon a time would create hysteria over such issues, to play worse type of second fiddle syndrome to keep its Kashmir centric ‘masters’ happy even at the cost of inconvenience to Jammuites?
