Jammu continues to be at the receiving end, despite holding a veto power in the coalition government after electing 25 legislators in the last Assembly elections. While key appointments in vital organizations are bagged by Kashmir, the Jammuites are even denied their due, least to speak of getting any preferential treatment. If reports are to be believed a senior Jammu based officer has been superseded by a very junior officer from Kashmir to man a key department connected with growth of agriculture.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the BJP to remain mute spectator to injustice meted out to the region, which has suffered perpetual discrimination for the past nearly seven decades, rather than assert its position as equals in the government?
