JAMMU: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma lambasted the anti-people polices of BJP Government which are still hurting the people even after the fall of their government.
He was speaking at the function organised here to celebrate the thumping victory of Congress Party in Panchayat Chowki Choura where the party had majority over his rivals.
Sham Lal said that elected representative from the area have failed to address the genuine problems of the people.
He further alleged that BJP has completely failed to fulfill any promise made with the people during Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. He alleged that previous BJP-PDP dispensation in the State had totally failed in governance and deliverance during its recent tenure.
Sharma lambasted the anti-people polices of BJP Government which are still hurting the people even after the fall of their government. He said that no progress was achieved under the BJP regime adding that the people were deprived of basic amenities like issue of ration, drinking water and electricity. The people were feeling cheated by voting BJP, he added.
The former Minister exhorted upon elected Sarpanch and Panchs to work hard for the development of their respective areas and make themselves available to the people and discuss the developmental and basic amenities issue with them for speedy and well planned works.
Sham Lal also alleged that previous PDP-BJP regime has proved non-performing liability for the people of the State who voted them to power.
The former Minister expressed contentment and satisfaction over the performance of the party in Chowki Choura Block in recently concluded Panchayati Elections.
