State Times News RAJOURI: Police on Tuesday organised an awareness programme on drugs and a civil society meeting at Gambhir Mughlan area of Manjakote tehsil. Awareness programme on the ill-effects of drugs and other narcotic substances was organised in government higher secondary school Gambhir Mughal which was chaired by sub divisional police officer Manjakote, Nisar Khoja. Students of the school were made aware about the ill effects of drugs addiction and were motivated to act as ambassadors of war against this menace. Similarly, a civil society meeting was held at Manjakote Gambhir Mughlan which was chaired by sub divisional police officer Manjakote, Nisar Khoja in which civil society members of the area took part. People highlighted several issues during this meeting which include non-availability of doctors in primary health centre Gambhir Mughlan, shortage of drinking water in majority of the hamlets, requirement of power poles and worst state of main road from Patrara Morh to Gambhir Mughlan. Police assured the local members that their grievance will be taken up with district police officer for further communication to civil administration for necessary action.
