KISHTWAR: To develop a sense of responsibility among commuters while driving two-wheelers, Kishtwar Police on Friday distributed 116 crash helmets to bikers of Kishtwar town under its Civic Action Programme(CAP).
The distribution function organised at Government Higher Secondary School Boys Kishtwar was inaugurated by SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir in presence of Irshad Ahmed DySP Operations Kishtwar,Manoj Kumar-KPS DySP DAR Kishtwar, Promila Sharma, Dr.Daizy Parihar, Riyaz Ahmed Zargar, Principal Government Higher Secondary School Boys Kishtwar, prominent citizens, staff of the school and large number of general public. While speaking on the occasion, SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir stressed upon the bikers to work as ambassador on behalf of Police department and spread the message of safe driving by way of wearing crash helmets.
He emphasised on the importance of crash helmets, driving license, insurance papers and warned against triple riding. He appealed to the general public to co-operate to check the traffic violation. The commuters after wearing the helmets organised a rally in Kishtwar town for awareness of general public.
