STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: As part of the Pre Publicity activities being carried out in connection with the celebrations of 5th International Yoga day which is going to be observed on 21st of June 2019 throughout the length and breadth of the globe. Kathua Field Outreach Bureau of Bureau of Outreach and Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India organized an interactive and informative awareness camp cum training session on Yoga and its health benefits. The awareness programme cum training session on Yoga and various important and beneficial Yoga Asans was organized by FOB, Kathua in colobarotion and active Coordination of 19th and 173rd Battalions of Border Security Force (BSF) at their battalion Headquarters at Panjtilla, Samba today. The awareness camp cum training session on Yoga and its various health benefits was aimed at making the participants more aware and empowered regarding various Yoga Asans, their right and exact way of performance, their importance and various health benefits associated with these Yoga Asans. The training session was started with the video message of honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the importance and multiple health benefits of different Yoga Asans, which was followed by a film show depicting and showcasing various Yoga Asans and their health benefits in day to day life. The awareness Programme cum training session on Yoga was presided over by Sh.Gurvinder Singh 2nd in Command 173rd BN BSF, Whereas, Sh. Sarvash Kumar Deputy Commandant 173rd Battalion, BSF and Sh. Mohsin Akhter Deputy Commandant 19th BN BSF were Chief Guest, Guest of honourand Special Guest during the occasion respectively. During the awareness programme Yoga experts from PatanjalliYogSimiti Samba were made available by the organizers to educate and impart the brief knowledge and education of various Yogaasans and their health benefits among the participants by way of performing varousyogaasan along with description of their health benefits in day to day life. The Yoga experts make aware and educate the participants about Yoga and its different Yogaasans and also made them aware about various health benefits in an easy and understandable manner. While interacting with the audience Shri N. Gulshan Raina, Publicity Officer, Field Outreach Bureau, Kathuaelaborated the importance and health benefits of different Yoga Asans to the YogSadhaks. The message of importance and health benefits of different Yoga Asans were disseminated among the Yoga lovers and Sadhaks threadbare. The awareness camp cum training session on Yoga was attended by a large number of Yoga lovers and Yoga Sadhaks including Jawans and Officers of 19th and 173rd battalions of Border Security Force their family Members, children etc On the concluding of the Yoga training camp, all the participants were administered an oath of adopting Yoga in their daily life for better health so that the dream of a stress free and healthy India would be achieved. Later the Yoga Experts were honoured with mementoes and certificates by the organizers through the hands of chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion. The chief guest, guest of honour and special guest were also facilitated by mementoes by Shri N. Gulshan Raina, Publicity Officer, Bureau of Outreach and Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Jammu & Kashmir Region. While presenting vote of thanks Sh. Gurvinder Singh 2nd in Command 173rd BN BSF, appreciated the efforts of BOC in awareing the Jawans of BSF about Yoga and its health benefits in scuh a detailed and elaborated manner. He further requested the department of more such awareness programmes on other themes and topics in the near future, so that the Jawans may be able to know more and more about various centrally sponsored developmental schemes and programmes and would be able to get maximum benefits from these schemes and programmes.
