The J&K Service Selection Board’s non-serious approach towards the employment package for Kashmiri migrants is creating havoc these days. The fact is that the recruitment to the posts advertised by JKSSB in November, 2017 under advertisement No: – 04 of 2017 and CBT’s for different posts were conducted in the month of April, 2018 and candidates were shortlisted and called for verification of their documents to Srinagar. The selection lists were expected to be released soon but nothing of that sort happened. The Ex-Chairman of J&K SSB Simranjeet Singh deserves all kudos for his prompt response to the selection process but unfortunately since his transfer nothing substantial happened regarding the selection of the candidates and issuance of lists of qualified candidates for the posts of Junior Assistant to the various departments. The typing tests of the Junior Assistants to various departments were conducted by the recruitment board but document verification for the qualified candidates was not held. It was delayed beyond expectation and caused despair and gloom to the job aspirants. It is brought to the notice of the SSRB to declare all pending lists of the candidates who have qualified in the type tests. Besides the selections lists for the candidates who have been called for document verification should be issued as early as possible to save the future of these aspirants. It is further urged through the columns of the esteemed daily that selection list for Junior Assistant should be issued without any delay. The SSRB should defend its position in the writ petition so far as SRO 425 is concerned. It is hoped that the Chairman of SSRB will take due notice of the above facts and issue selections lists without any further delay.
