Dear Editor, One wonders as to why J&K Service Selection Board keeps on delaying the recruitment process pertaining to the Prime Minister’s Special Employment package for Kashmiri Migrants. It was in the year 2017 some posts for Junior Assistants were advertised by J&K Service Selection Board under this special PM’s package vide notification no. 04 of 2017 but the greatest irony is that the selection lists for these posts have not been released by the selection board till date. This delay in releasing the selection lists for these profiles of Junior Assistants is creating frustration and dejection among these job aspirants. It is worthwhile to mention here that these posts were expected to be completed under the fast track basis as envisaged by the Centre government but nothing concrete has happened in this respect till yet. This continuous delay in releasing the final selection lists for the above said posts has left all those migrant aspirants in lurch and disdain. However, Hon’ble Lt. Governor had also given strict directions to the concerned authorities to complete all the pending selections under the PM’s package for Migrants by before 31st January, 2020. But surprisingly his direction has also been put into the garbage for the best reasons known to the authorities concerned. It is hoped now that the new worthy chairman of the J&K SSB must take due cognizance of this matter and should direct the authorities to release all the pending selection lists of Junior Assistant Migrants under this PM’s package as early as possible.
