Dear Editor, Recently J&K Service Selection Board has declared the selection lists to the various departments under the PM’s Employment Package for Kashmiri Migrants. It is really a good and welcome step taken by the selection board immediately after the High Court of J&K has vacated the stay. However, the job aspirants who have applied for the Junior Assistant’s post under this employment package vide JKSSB advertisement notification No: – 04 of 2017 are still waiting for their results. It has been more than a year now since J&K SSB conducted typing tests for these posts, but irony is that neither the results were declared nor any CBT was held till date which is very distressing and agonizing for the job seekers of Kashmiri Migrant community. These job aspirants have already left their previous private jobs in the hope that they would get absorbed under this employment package some time very soon but the delay tactics followed by the selection board and the government has left all those aspirants in lurch. It is hoped now that the new chairman of the J&K SSB must take due cognizance of this much talked employment package and scrap the CBT (Computer Based Test) for the Junior Assistants’ post which will eventually make the recruitment process fast paced under this PM’s employment package. Through these columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to make a humble appeal to the chairman of the J&K Service Selection Board to immediately release the document verification lists for the post of Junior Assistants’ under advertisement notification no: – 04 of 2017 on the basis of merit obtained from typing test (already held in February/March, 2018) and scrap the CBT for these posts, as enough time stands already wasted because of delay tactics of the state government. Vivek Koul, Gole Gujral, Jammu.
