JAMMU: PHE Workers Welfare Association (PHE WWA) discussed the problems being faced by both permanent employees and the daily wagers of the department.
In the meeting held here on Monday, Subash Verma, Provincial General Secretary of the Association expressed resentment against the PHE Administration which has miserably failed to release the salaries of both permanent employees and the daily rated workers. He informed that PHE Division Akhnoor has failed to release even the salary of January month of this year.
“The DPC meeting was also not conducted despite repeated requests made to the Chief Engineer, PHE Department Jammu by the leadership of the association time to time,” the meeting said . It was decided in the meeting that if the demands of the workers are not resolved by March 15, 2018, they will be forced to start agitation in support of the demands.
Surjit Singh, Ram Labhaya, Manzoor Ali, Kulbushan Nanda, Lal Chand, Ravi Kumar, Rajesh Jamwal, Vijant Kumar and Ashok Kumar were also present.
