KATHUA: All J&K PHE ITI Trained, CP Workers and Land Donors Association held a protest rally for pending wages at Lakhanpur, Kathua. The protest was led by Tanveer Hussain President of the Association. The protest rally was attended by thousands of daily wagers along with various division/district presidents and general secretaries along with the Central Committee including Deepak Gupta (V.President), Subhash Rakwal (Gen Secy), Bhanu Partap, Sanjeev Thakur etc. Thousands of daily wagers gathered at national highway and blocked it for hours after the authorities assured them that would look into the issue after it they set the highway open for vehicles.
Addressing the leadership Tanveer Hussain (State President) said despite number of assurances by government nothing has been done for them regarding their pending wages of last 42 months. He announced that “we have extended the call ‘Kaam Chodo Hartaal’ further for 72 hours and will launch Jail Bharo Andolan on 15th of September. Jeevan Singh, Balbir Jasmeria, Govind kumar, Parveen Ahmed, Bittu, Pawan Kumar, Dhani ram, Sohan Choudhary and Manjeet Singh were also present.
