STATE TIMES NEWS Udhampur: Water Works (PHE Employees Association) on Saturday hold a press conference at Udhampur, under the chairmanship of Balbeer Singh Tehsil President Majlata. While addressing the media persons, Singh criticised the attitude of the PHE higher authorities that neither they online the unpaid workers nor list of these workers authenticated from the concern authorities . Further Balbeer Singh disclosed the fact that in all the other divisions of PHE Department have been online their un-paid workers, but in PHE Division Udhampur 618 number of workers still waited for the same which totally injustice with the poor workers. District Dev. Commissioner, Tehsildar concern, Block Chairman, Sarpanch, Panch and locals agreed that these workers work honestly and at present water supply disturbed badly due to these workers on strike and also reported to the PHE Authorities about the non-supply of water in their respective areas, but PHE Authorities have no bother about the same. Association strongly criticized the policy of higher authorities of PHE Department. Association Udhampur requested LG Girish Chandra Murmu Union Territory of J&K for timely releasing the pending wages of the poor workers and keep the provision of the wages of such workers in the budget for the financial year 2020-21 for clearance of due liability of the workers who work free of cost. Association also extend strike from December 8, to 27, 2019. Joginder Kumar, Suram Chand, Raj Kumar, Hem Raj were also present.
