State Times News UDHAMPUR: The performance of Rural Development Department with regard to implementation of flagship schemes and working of Raj Panchayat institutions in twin districts of Udhampur and Doda districts were reviewed today here at a meeting chaired by Director Rural Development Jammu, Sudershan Kumar. As per an official handout, Directorate of Rural Development Department Jammu is conducting a series of meetings to review the progress on development schemes besides the PRI issues in presence of Additional Secretary (MGNREGA) Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Rakesh Badyal. In this regard, the progress of District Udhampur and District Doda was reviewed the meeting attended by Assistant Commissioners Development, Executive Engineers, Block Development Officers, District SECURE teams, District GIS teams and District MIS Operators were present in the meetings. While reviewing the progress of GIS Planning, the director stressed on the preparation and uploading of GIS plan as per the labour budget of the concerned Panchayat giving priority to NRM works. With regard to progress on SECURE, Executive Engineers were directed to prepare the estimates of all the works approved under MGNREGA immediately. Further, all the ACDs/ BDOs of the concerned Districts were asked to clear all the pending payments immediately so that the performance in terms of timely payment be improved. Also, they were asked to complete all the incomplete works for the year 2017-18 & 2018-19 so that 100% completion rate be achieved. While reviewing the status of various issues like constitution of Bio-diversity Committees, allocation of subjects to elected Panchs, installation of Public Information Boards (PIBs), conducting of Gram Sabhas for preparation of GPDP and its uploading on portal, all BDOs were directed to immediately complete the exercise.
