Bhopinder Singh, Shailender, others join BJP
STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: The perfect blend of patriotism and professionalism on part of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is acting as a catalyst in party’s growth across the nation. This was stated by the BJP National Vice-President, Prabhari & Election Incharge for Jammu & Kashmir, Avinash Rai Khanna while addressing a joining function here at State Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar on Tuesday. A number of prominent social and political activists of Jammu including Retired SP Bhopinder Singh, Convenor Ex-Chairman Minority Morcha Congress, Shailender Vaid; Vipan Nischal Arogaya Yoga Sansthan, Abhiudit Koushal (Grandson of Rishi Kumar Koushal, former MLA Reasi), Gurmeet Singh and Lokesh Kapoor (from Auto & 2-wheeler Repair and Spare Association) along with a number of supporters joined the party. BJP State President Ravinder Raina, State General Secretaries Dr Narinder Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, Rajesh Gupta, District President Baldev Singh Billawaria, Ajay Pargal, MLC Ramesh Arora and other senior leaders of the State were also present on the occasion. Khanna, while welcoming new entrants into the party fold, said “Today, the party can pave way for a new nation envisioned with self pride and self determination, which is quite evident by the perfectly timed decisions taken by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister, Amit Shah.” Ravinder Raina, while speaking on the occasion, said that Congress always proved to a slave-party ruled by one family only, and same has been confirmed with recent decision of Congress by again relying on Sonia Gandhi to lead the party. “Congress is unable to find any single leader out of Nehru-Gandhi family to lead the party and very soon, the time will come when Congress will not find even a single activist from outside Nehru-Gandhi family,” said Raina, expressing confidence that the joining of prominent persons would further strengthen the party at grass root level.
