NOWSHERA: The people of Nowshera led by Beopar Mandal President Subhash Kapoor held a strong protest at Nowshera against the Government for not fulfilling their promise of posting Additional DC Nowshera.
A large number of locals, members of Sanatan Dharam Sabha, number of businessmen and shopkeepers held a strong protest and said that the commitment made by the DDC Rajouri Dr. Shahid Iqbal on behalf of the Government that ADC will be posted before the close of Assembly Session, has not been fulfilled. MLA Ravinder Raina and MLC Surinder Choudhary had also given similar assurance, they also claimed.
President of Beopar Mandal Subhash Kapoor said that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who had promised during his visit to the border area of Nowshera that ADC will be posted at Nowshera very soon but none of the commitments have been fulfilled.
He said that the people have decided to hold a protest and block the National Highway on February 16, if the Government failed to fulfill its commitment.
