JAMMU: A delegation of PDD Daily Wagers led by its President, Surjeet Khajuria met Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh and apprised him of the problems being faced by the daily wagers.
The delegation apprised the Dy CM regarding the disparities with the Jammu and Kathua District particularly in the case of regularisation of the daily wagers whereas in other districts they have been regularised. He further said that the case of regularisation of daily wagers should be considered at par with the Order No. CEJ/DPC-ll/418-IV/B dated December 3, 2013, vide which department used various vacant lying higher grade posts for regularisation of DWs.
Khajuria stated that the daily wages particularly of Jammu and Kathua District and from other districts serving in these two districts may be allowed to serve outside these districts for balancing and maintaining the strength of Daily wagers in all the districts.
The Dy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured for early redressal of their grievances.
The delegation comprised of Chinta Mani Singh, Senior Vice President; Parveen Sharma Provincial Organiser; Dara Singh, Vijay Gandhi, Gautam Mehra, Vijay Sharma, Sarwan Kumar, Ramesh Kumar and Ajay Kumar.
