RAMBAN: Jammu Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC) Daily Wagers Union under the leadership of Ashok Singh Rana went on indefinite hunger strike on Thursday.
The agitating protestors said that till the State Government and JKPDC fulfill their demands they will not end their hunger strike.
Protesters raised slogans against State Government, JKSPDC and demanded regularisation of daily wagers who were engaged for the last more than 15 years. They said the government should fulfill their demands at the earliest.
Addressing the gathering, Rana said that many times the union approached the higher authorities but nothing has been done so far. He warned if their demands are not fulfilled at the earliest, they will come on roads with their families and will also stop the Baglihar project.
