JAMMU: All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association has decided to intensify its protest till the demands are met.
On the statewide call given by All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association, the revenue officials (Patwaris and Girdawars) assembled in the Office of Deputy Commissioner and staged protest in favour of their demands. “We are going for strike to make government press for fulfilling our demands without any further delay,” Senior Vice President AJKPA, Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai said.
“We demand grade pay of graduate Patwaris, timely DPC, creation of Patwar Halqas and GQ Circles, ban on direct recruitment of NTs, enhancement of allowances, rent for Patwar Khanas (Private Accommodation) till construction of Patwar Khanas, etc,” he said. He said that government should fulfill demands of AJKPA at the earliest so that public may not suffer. “We are going for continue pen down strike if government fail to fulfill our demands without any further delay,” he asserted.
Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai, Senior Vice President; Raman Raj Sharma, Ex State President AJKPA; Vinay Kumar Organizer; Kaleem Ahmed District President Jammu and Amjad Malik District President Samba were also present.
Meanwhile, Patwar Association, Samba, held a protest against government for not showing its serious concern towards their demands. Led by Amjeed Malik, President Patwar Association Samba, the association members assembled in the Office of Deputy Commissioner, Samba and raised slogans in support of their demands.
Meanwhile, All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association, unit Nowshera also held a protest against government in support of their demands.
The protest was held under the leadership of Naresh Kumar, President Patwar Association Nowshera. Vice-President Amrik Singh, Balbir Singh, Abdul Salaam, Javed Iqbal and Nayaz Ahmed were also present.
