STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary Ram Madhav, addressed Mandal Presidents Sammelan here on Sunday at Party Headquarters. BJP National Vice-President and Prabhari J&K Avinash Rai Khanna along with State President Ravinder Raina, Union MoS in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Dr Nirmal Singh, former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, former Minister Sat Sharma, MLC Ashok Khajuria, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul and other senior leaders also addressed the Sammelan. BJP National General Secretary (Org.) Ram Lal addressed the Sammelan from Delhi through telephonic conversation, in which he highlighted the importance on the Shakti Kendras in the forthcoming elections. Ram Madhav, while addressing the Sammelan, prompted them to contest election with clear aim of winning elections and forming governments on our own in Centre and State. “We don’t wish to come to government for gaining personally benefits but to serve the nation. We have to set the targets accordingly, even in the state of J&K. Whenever elections take place in state we have to be ready,” he added. Madhav said that may be Assembly election will take place along with Parliament election or differently, scheduled by election commission, but we have to be ready. “Our aim is not to take rest till we reach our goal of forming governments at both places. Opposition has already accepted defeat by terming Chor EVMs before elections,” he said. Avinash Rai Khanna, in his address, prompted all the BJP workers to fix their target to achieve more than 282 seats in approaching Parliament elections 2019. Ravinder Raina, in his address, said that BJP made it possible to bring democracy at the doorstep of every individual, while Congress, NC, PDP betrayed people while trying to give calls to boycott these crucial polls. Dr Jitendra Singh, in his address, said that today we have entered into the preparatory stage for the Parliament elections. “We all know the issues to work upon. We have to stand in front of public with the relevant points. We are a nation of Young India and we have to keep the issues related to youth in our mind in this election. Youth knows the issues very well through the modern sources of knowledge. We have to be issue based and well informed. We have to discuss the issues within the masses and counter the false and malicious campaign carried out by issueless opposition,” Jitendra said. Ashok Kaul, in his address, sought the reporting from District and Mandal Presidents on the formation of various committees at booth level, organizational programmes, Navrattans. A book titled, “Historical Journey of Bharatiya Janata Party from 1951 to 2014” by Kulbhusha Mohtra was also released during the Sammelan. BJP State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh conducted the proceedings during the Sammelan. State Vice-Presidents Harinder Gupta, Pawan Khajuria, Parmod Kapahi, Arun Gupta, Narain Singh, Dr. Ali, Sofi Yusuf, BJP State General Secretaries Yudhvir Sethi, Sunil Sharma, Dy Mayor Purnima Sharma and were also present.
