JAMMU: Nrityashree Deepak Dutta, son of Shashi and Vinod Kumar Dutta, a renowned classical dancer from J and K, was awarded with National Award ‘Natyashree Samman’ for his outstanding contribution in the field of performing arts.
The award was presented in National Shivalik Festival-15 organised by National Youth Development Centre at Talwara Township, District Hoshiarpur Punjab from 19th to 21st January, 2015.
In this event, total 12 teams from across India took part. Deepak represented J and K and attended the event as Head of the Jury.
The award was presented to him by Vijay Sampla, Minister of State for Social Justice Empowerment, Govt of India in presence of MLA Dasua Sukhjeet Kour Sahi and Director Urban Development Capt. J.S Pathania.
By achieving this award Deepak bought laurels to J and K and marked his name as one of the youngest National Award Winner for his outstanding contribution in the field of performing arts.
