STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR: Agitating against the erratic water supply at Udhampur city and surrounding villages. Panthers Party’s activists under the leadership of NPP President and Former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia on Monday Gheraoed and locked PHE Office. While leading a protest rally against PHE Department, NPP President and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia informed that PHE department has completely failed to improve water supply and the people have to be scarce of a drop of water. Mankotia said that 10 days ultimatum was served to the department for improving water supply but the department failed to fulfill its promise. Mankotia termed it as political failure and lack of coordination between officers over the water scarcity problem. Mankotia warned the administration and PHE Deptt if the genuine water supply problem will not be addressed soon they will forced to agitate more strongly. Councillors, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Sr Leaders including scores of Party activists, women wing etc also accompanied Mankotia.
