LEH: The field staff of Forest Division, Leh, under the banner of Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association observed mass casual leave here on Tuesday.
The mass casual leave was observed to press the long-pending demand for revival of pay anomaly, grant of grant of two and a half days extra salary and risk allowance and regularization of consolidated Malis.
Tsering Tundup, President NGFOA, Leh Forest Division said, “We are on two days mass casual leave. If our demands are not redressed at the earliest we are going to continue with the protest”.
Tundup further said the authorities at the helm affairs are deliberately delaying service matters and the promotional avenues of field staff of Forest Department. The higher authorities are provoking the employees to choose the path of agitation repeatedly, he added.
Later, they submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner, Leh and the Divisional Forest Officer, Leh for its further submission to the Office of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and higher concerned authority for redressal their genuine demands without further delay.
