STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: The staff of Community Health Centre Kandi (Kotranka) went on flash strike on Friday morning after the Nursing Orderly (NO) and female staff nurse was allegedly manhandled, assaulted, abused and thrashed by the relatives of a patient, who was under labour. Sources said that one patient namely Shazia Kosser of village Kandi was brought to the hospital with labour pain. During treatment, a verbal altercation stated between staff and relatives of the patient, which later on took an ugly turn. The relative of the patients namely Mohd Ayoub, Amrit Ali and Mushtaq Ali allegedly attacked, abused and thrashed the staff on morning duty. When the matter was brought to the notice of Block Medical Officer Kandi, he immediately rushed to the spot, informed the Additional Deputy Commissioner Koteranka, Tehsildar and SHO Kandi who brought the situation under control after hectic efforts. When contacted BMO said that he has lodged an FIR and on the assurance from ADC Koteranka and the staff of CHC Kandi called off the strike.
